Candidates should have some experience and a passion for working with clients in the technology sector (B2B/B2C). Moving into an AE role is the first step to management at the agency. The AE will begin to help manage junior team members, teach new team members the systems and protocols of assigned clients and agency life. This role is also the first step in client accountability. The AE actively researches and pitches to secure content opportunities and build relationships. They are immersed in client industries, actively sharing insights and trends to support strategic thinking across the team. An emphasis is also placed on strong writing skills at this level. Together with their colleagues, the AE ensures admin, lists and reporting are complete before sharing senior team members. They also become more actively engaged in the new business process. The AE supports with industry research, media/influencer targets, creative ideation and deck development as part of the new business process. Regardless of industry experience, the AE is expected to work on all opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities Actively pitches media/influencers to secure client content opportunities, leveraging established relationshipsRegularly meet with media/influencers in-person for effective relationship buildingMaintains ongoing knowledge of the communications industry and media activity, and actively shares with team and clients, as appropriateDrafts materials, client recommendations, award / executive speaking submissions, and by-lines effectively and efficientlyDevelops story angles, both planned and reactive, on behalf of clientsDemonstrates solid working knowledge of clients, products, competitors, industry sector, etc.Supports event logistics and execution, including on-site presence for team and clientManages time and projects well, meeting all objectives and deadlinesClosely supports supervising colleaguesAssists with supervision of interns and account coordinatorsServes as the primary day-to-day contact for smaller accountsOversees preparation and compilation of client and industry reportsConducts research on behalf of clients and the agency. Competent user of Critical Mention, Sysomos, BrandWatch, Fifty and other online research and monitoring toolsReviews media/influencer lists and written materials from junior team members before sending to managers for approvalMaintains client speakers bureau, awards, tradeshow schedule and programme (researching appropriate opportunities, presenting to team and client, tracking deadlines, etc.)Competency around influencer and digital/social programmesMaintains excellent communication with team and clientSupports office management and organisation, as needed (i.e., weekly supply orders, liaising with vendors, etc.)Takes direction well and follows through with limited supervision Qualifications Prior experience working in a communications industry such as public relations, journalism, corporate communications or with a relevant marketing services agencyExcellent writerEstablished media/influencer relationshipsEvent and tradeshow experienceExperience in managing speakers bureau, awards and conference programmesAbility to prioritise workload, demonstrate effective time management skillsStrong communicator with team, client and media/influencers, both written and verbalThinks strategically and demonstrates creative thinkingSelf-motivated with a relentless attention to detail and an effective multi-taskerProficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams and ExcelSkilled in social media and influencer programmesEnjoys working in collaborative, cross-office, team environment.
